Integrations Engineer - Embedded Systems Engineer (multi-platform) (f/m/d)

Your mission at Green Fusion

As an Integrations Engineer (Multi-Platform), you'll develop application software for our two hardware platforms. You'll also make sure that software works smoothly with our cloud software, from the field level up to the cloud, before our products reach customers. Your work will reduce failures in the field and raise the quality of what we deliver.
  • You design and develop system services for our hardware platforms
  • You coordinate and implement the interfaces to our cloud components
  • You run prototype tests and support field tests
  • You build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cross-compilation across both platforms
  • You ensure firmware quality before devices are rolled out to the field
  • You create and maintain product and test documentation
  • You work closely with the firmware, cloud and hardware teams

Your profile

Technical skills:

  • You have experience developing embedded software for Linux-based systems, ideally across several target architectures (e.g. ARM and MIPS)
  • You're familiar with cross-compilation toolchains and different build systems (e.g. Yocto/BitBake and OpenWRT-based environments)
  • You know how to design software for resource-constrained systems (memory, flash, performance)
  • You know C/C++ and/or other languages used in embedded systems
  • You have experience with network protocols and services in an embedded context (e.g. VPN, MQTT, systemd/NetworkManager)

Background:

  • You have a degree in embedded software, electronics, computer engineering or a related field
  • You have 5+ years of experience in embedded systems, hardware-level development or testing
  • You speak and write English fluently; German is a plus

How you work: 

  • You're hands-on and have practical experience with hardware
  • You test and validate software carefully before it's rolled out to a large device fleet
  • You enjoy finding and solving problems at the interfaces between components
  • You work analytically: you find errors systematically and document them clearly
  • You set up workflows on your own and keep improving systems
  • You communicate well and enjoy working with different teams and external partners

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with Teltonika RutOS or similar router/gateway platforms
  • Experience with fleet management and deployment infrastructure (e.g. certificate management, OTA updates)
